November 8 (SeeNews) - Passenger traffic through the international airport of Macedonia's capital Skopje in August rose by 18.55% year-on-year to 80,142 passengers, the airport said on Thursday.
Cargo traffic through the airport increased by an annual 22.3% to 192.29 tonnes in August. Take-offs and landings rose to 1,295, up by 31.3% as compared to the same month a year earlier, data showed.
In August 14 airlines operated scheduled flights from Skopje Airport to 16 destinations, mainly in southeast and western Europe. Six carriers performed charter flights to 11 destinations, mainly tourist centres in Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey and Greece in August.
