May 10 (SeeNews) - Short-term government securities dominated Albania's secondary market with a 71% share of the total volume in the first quarter of 2023, up from 69.43% in the same period in 2022, the Albanian financial supervisory authority AMF said on Tuesday.
In terms of number of transactions, short-term instruments made 88% of the total in the January-March period, up from 78.44% in the same period in 2022, the regulator said in a notice on its website.
Individual investors performed 99.2% of all transactions in the review period.
Raiffeisen Bank held the biggest share of financial intermediaries' portfolio sales, 81.56% of the total volume, followed by Tirana Bank with 9.15%.
