SOFIA (Bulgaria), February 2 (SeeNews) – A total of 64% of households in Bulgaria had internet access in 2016, less than in any other EU member state, the bloc's statistics office said on Tuesday.
Bulgaria was followed by Greece with 69% and Romania with 72%, Eurostat said in a press release.
Over the past 16 years the share of households with internet access in Bulgaria and Romania increased by about 30 percentage points but the two countries remain at the bottom of the table, the statistics office noted.
