July 17 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange closed 0.22% lower at 577.28 points on Wednesday, mostly hit by a drop in the share price of diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:5DOV].
Doverie United Holding led decliners on Wednesday as its shares lost 1.84% to 3.20 levs. However, the share price is still 4.58% higher compared to the beginning of July and 90.48% higher year-to-date.
Elana Agrocredit [BUL:0EA] was the second biggest decliner on Wednesday, shedding 0.85% to 1.16 levs.
The only blue-chip gainer was Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF]. The lender's shares rose 0.68% to 1.47 levs after losing 2.34% to 1.46 levs on Tuesday.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the stock exchange in Sofia, lost 0.24% to 114.51 points, while the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, dropped 0.28% to 506.41 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, edged down 0.10% to 126.66 points.
