BELGRADE (Serbia), December 10 (SeeNews) – Serbian meat processing company Yuhor has completed a 6 million euro ($6.6 million) investment in the construction of a fermented sausages production unit at its factory in Jagodina, the city government said.
The investment has allowed the company to double the fermented sausages production capacity and introduce more controls of the entire production process, the Jagodina city government said in a statement on Monday.
"With the construction of the new facility and the renovation of the existing one, the production facility was expanded by 3,000 square metres, the production of fermented sausages increased by 65%, and the total production rose by 35%," Yuhor managing director, Dragan Miladinovic, said.
The company has opened 20 jobs at the new unit and currently has a workforce of 270 employees in Jagodina, the city mayor, Dragan Markovic, said.
Serbian diversified group Delta Holding acquired Yuhor in 2004. Yuhor also operates a retail network of 52 stores in Serbia.
