BELGRADE (Serbia), March 17 (SeeNews) – Serbia's diversified Verano Group plans to invest more than 6.0 million euro ($7.8 million) this year in expanding its food retail chain Familija Market, local broadcaster B92 reported.
The company plans to open 27 new stores in Serbia, including four in the capital Belgrade, B92 (www.B92.net) quoted Familija Market head Dijana Trajkovic as saying on Monday.
Familija Market has no plans to expand outside Serbia, B92 quoted Trajkovic as saying.
Verano Group was founded in 1991 in Belgrade by Radomir Zivanic. Besides the food retail chain, it includes Verano Motors, the authorised dealer of French carmaker Peugeot for Serbia, and is also active in investment and the banking industry.
