May 4 (SeeNews) - Serbian state-owned power utility EPS said on Wednesday it will invest 70 million euro ($80.5 million) in an overhaul of a generation unit at its Nikola Tesla B thermal power plant in Obrenovac.
The renovation will increase the capacity of the B2 block by 200,000 working hours and 30 MW, bringing it to a total of 650 MW, the company said in a statement.
The repair works are set to start on May 7, while its reconnection to Serbia's power grid is expected to take place at the beginning of November.
More than 30 local and foreign companies are engaged in the project.
