February 29 (SeeNews) - Serbia’s unemployment rate climbed to 17.9% in the fourth quarter of 2015 from 16.7% the quarter before, the country's statistics office said on Monday.
In the fourth quarter of 2014, the jobless rate was 17.3%, the data, published on the statistics office website, showed.
In October-December 2015, the unemployment rate for men was 17.4% and that for women was 18.4%.
The employment rate in Serbia stood at 42.4% last quarter, the same as in the year ago period. In the third quarter it was 43.2%.
