BELGRADE (Serbia), April 11 (SeeNews) – Serbia's central bank governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic will discuss the implementation of economic reforms backed by the Policy Coordination Instrument with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) this week, the central bank said on Thursday.
Tabakovic will lead Serbia's delegation for the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Washington D.C. on April 12-14, the central bank, NBS said in a statement.
The delegation will also discuss the upcoming Article IV consultation of Serbia with the IMF.
The IMF completed the first review under the Policy Coordination Instrument (PCI) for Serbia in December, finding that the country implements its economic programme. A full mission for the second review under the PCI, combined with the 2019 Article IV consultation, is planned for May and will be led by Jan Kees Martijn.
In July, the IMF said it reached a staff-level agreement on a 30-month PCI with Serbia which includes reforms of the tax administration to help increase the efficiency of revenue collection and improve the business climate.
