June 29 (SeeNews) - Serbian civil engineering group Tehnogradnja has started building an airport in Krusevac, in central Serbia, the city government said.
The city government plans to invest a total of 250 million dinars ($2.4 million/2.1 million euro) in the construction of the airport, named Rosulje, it said in a statement on Wednesday.
The investment in the first phase of the project, which involves the construction of a runway, an apron and access roads, will stand at 100 million dinars, the city government said.
Rosulje, covering an area of 40.83 hectares, will be operated under the instrument flight rules (IFR) and will handle cargo aircraft, Krusevac city government noted.
