May 18 (SeeNews) - Serbian state-run copper mining and smelting company RTB Bor said its copper exports rose 34% on the year to 9,435 tonnes in the first four months of 2018.
The company's total foreign exchange inflows amounted to $80.2 million (67.9 million euro) in the period under review, RTB Bor said in its corporate newsletter Kolektiv on Thursday.
RTB Bor sold 6,000 tonnes of sulfuric acid, 1.5 tonnes of silver, 430 tonnes of copper sulfate, 11.7 tonnes of selenium, 13.2 kilogrammes of palladium and 1.5 kilogrammes of platinum.
The copper and mining company exported 66.4% of its output in the first four months of 2018, namely to Poland, Germany, Turkey, Croatia, Italy, Bulgaria and Romania.
In December, Serbia's government launched a call for an adviser in the privatisation of RTB Bor. Discussions with potential investors are ongoing, including discussions on addressing environmental risks, the government said back then.
