May 22 (SeeNews) - Serbia's current account deficit narrowed to 650 million euro ($768.2 million) in the first quarter of 2018, from 694 million euro in the like period of last year, the central bank, NBS, said.
Trade in goods showed a deficit of 1.133 billion euro in the January-March period, while trade in services recorded a surplus of 226 million euro, data posted on the website of NBS showed.
Primary income deficit amounted to 544 million euro, whereas surplus in secondary income came in at 800 million euro in the first three months of 2018.
In March alone, Serbia's current account balance showed a deficit of 345 million euro, compared to a deficit of 380 million euro a year earlier.
In 2017, Serbia'scurrent account deficit widened to 2.09 billion euro from 1.075 billion euro in the previous year.
