December 7 (SeeNews) - Serbia's parliament adopted on Friday the budget bill for next year envisaging deficit of 22.9 billion dinars ($220.1 million/193.6 million euro) equivalent to 0.4% of the estimated gross domestic product (GDP), the government said.
The budget, built on projections of economic growth of 3.5% in 2019, targets revenues of 1.246 billion dinars and expenses of 1.269 billion dinars, the government said in a statement.
Тhe budget envisages capital investments of 165.5 billion dinars, up 30%, and an increase of salaries in the public sector of between 7% and 12%, the government said.
Tax revenues are planned at 1.06 trillion dinars, with 539.1 billion dinars of them to come from value-added tax.
Serbia's budget was in surplus of 49.3 billion dinars in the first nine months of 2018, compared to a surplus of 66.6 billion dinars in the prior-year period, according to finance ministry data.
The budget of Serbia swung to a surplus of 33.9 billion dinars in 2017 from a deficit of 7.9 billion dinars in the previous year.
