June 22 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue-chip oil and gas group NIS [BEL:NIS] has said its shareholders approved the payment of a gross dividend of 42.61 dinars ($0.42/0.36 euro) per share for 2017.
The company distributed a gross dividend of 24.66 dinars per share for 2016.
The shareholders of NIS approved the management board’s proposal at a general meeting held on June 11, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
In this way, the company will distribute a total of 6.948 billion dinars, or 25% of its profit, as a dividend for 2017, NIS said.
The net profit of NIS rose by 80% to 27 billion dinars last year, according to the company's annual financial statement.
Shares in NIS closed down 1.17% at 677 dinars on Thursday on the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
