August 17 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue-chip oil and gas group NIS [BEL:NIS] said it plans to pay its shareholders 24.66 dinars ($0.24/0.21 euro) per share gross dividend for 2016 on Friday.
Dividends to the largest shareholders of the company - Gazprom Neft and the Serbian government - will be paid through a direct bank transaction, while the remainder will be transferred through the Central Securities Depository and Clearing House, NIS said in a bourse filing on Wednesday.
The total gross dividend to be paid via the Central Securities Depository and Clearing House will stand at 561.8 million dinars, the company said.
The company will distribute a total of 4.021 billion dinars as a dividend for 2016. Some 12.061 billion dinars of 2016 earnings will be retained as undistributed profit, NIS said in June.
NIS distributed a gross dividend of 24.69 dinars per share for 2015.
The net profit of NIS rose by 3% to 15 billion dinars last year, according to the company's annual financial statement. Gazprom Neft controls a 56.15% stake in the capital of NIS, while the Serbian government owns a 29.87% shareholding.
