May 23 (SeeNews) - Serbian oil and gas group NIS [BEL:NIIS] will donate 60 million euro ($64.7 million) to the government to support education, healthcare and social projects, the finance ministry said on Tuesday.
The donation will be made by May 30, the finance ministry said in a press release.
NIS reporded a consolidated net profit of 92.4 billion dinars ($848.6 million/787.9 million euro) in 2022.
NIS, 56.15%-owned by Russia's Gazprom, is one of the largest vertically integrated oil and gas companies in Southeast Europe. Its main activities include the exploration, production and processing of oil and gas, as well as the production and retailing of a wide range of petroleum products. Serbia's government owns a 29.87% stake in NIS.
