May 29 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue-chip oil and gas group NIS [BEL:NIIS] said its management proposed to distribute a gross dividend of 143.29 dinars ($1.31/1.22 euro) per share for 2022.
The board of directors proposed to allocate to dividend distribution 23.4 billion dinars out of the company's net profit of 93.5 billion dinars reported for last year, NIS said in a filing with the Belgrade Stock Exchange last week.
The remainder of the 2022 net profit in the amount of 70.1 billion dinars will remain undistributed.
The shareholders will vote on the proposal at a general meeting scheduled on June 29.
The oil and gas group distributed a dividend of 36 dinars per share for 2021, according to earlier disclosed information.
NIS, 56.15%-owned by Russia's Gazprom, is one of the largest vertically integrated oil and gas companies in Southeast Europe. Its main activities include the exploration, production and processing of oil and gas, as well as the production and retailing of a wide range of petroleum products. Serbia's government owns a 29.87% stake in NIS.
