May 26 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue-chip oil and gas group NIS [BEL:NIIS] plans to distribute 4.4 billion dinars ($41 million/37.4 million euro) as dividend for 2019, lower than the previous year's payout of 6.5 billion dinars, it said on Tuesday.
NIS board adopted the proposal for the dividend payment at a meeting on May 25, the company said in a filing to the Belgrade Stock Exchange. The date of the shareholders meeting which has to vote on the proposal was set on June 30.
The company will distributed as dividend 25% of its 17.7 billion dinars net profit for 2019, the company said.
NIS also distributed 25% of its 26.1 billion dinars net profit in 2018 as a dividend.
Shares in NIS closed 0.85% higher at 590 dinars on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
