April 1 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue-chip oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS], majority owned by Russia's Gazprom, appointed Pavel Oderov, deputy CEO at Gazprom Neft, as a member of its board of directors, it said on Wednesday.
Oderov will replace Sergey Papenko who resigned, NIS said in a filing with the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
In January, Oderov was named deputy CEO for international business of Gazprom Neft, which holds a 56.15% stake in NIS. Oderov is responsible for all aspects of managing the business development of Gazprom Neft outside Russia.
NIS, 56.15%-owned by Russia's Gazprom, is one of the largest vertically integrated oil and gas companies in Southeast Europe. Its main activities include the exploration, production and processing of oil and gas, as well as the production of a wide range of petroleum products and their retailing. Serbia's government owns a 29.87% stake in NIS
