February 23 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 0.57% higher at 882.70 points on Thursday, boosted by rises in Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] and oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] shares, bourse data showed.
Aerodrom Nikola Tesla led the blue-chip gainers on Thursday, closing 1.38% higher at 1,838 dinars in a volume of 515 shares.
NIS generated the highest turnover among the blue chips on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday. A total of 4,265 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 3.2 million dinars. NIS closed up 1.35% at 750 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also gained ground closing up 0.48% at 1,773.90.
Total turnover on the bourse amounted to 11.6 million dinars ($104,800/99,240 euro) on Thursday, down from 19.9 million dinars on Wednesday, as 149 transactions were carried out.
Trading in treasury bonds contributed 2.7 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Thursday.
