BELGRADE (Serbia), April 26 (SeeNews) – Serbian real estate developer MPC Properties said it plans to invest 8.5 million euro ($9.3 million) in the construction of a shopping mall in Smederevo, in eastern Serbia.
The shopping mall, named Shoppi Retail Park Smederevo, will have a retail space of 9,200 sq m and its construction will be completed in October 2017, MPC Properties said in a statement on Tuesday.
MPC Properties has already let 70% of the retail space of the shopping mall, which proves its importance and business potential, CEO Thomas H. Villadsen said in the statement.
Shoppi Retail Park Smederevo will have an excellent offer of international and regional brands, such as H&M, Deichmann, New Yorker, Sport Vision, WinWin, dm, as well as many others, Villadsen said.
MPC Properties has already built two shopping malls under the Shoppi Mall brand, located in Subotica and Belgrade. The company has also built the Usce Shopping Centre, Sub Real and Knez Mihajlova retail complexes, the Navigator Business Centre, Usce Tower and Plaza Prima office buildings, as well as the Oaza luxury condominium.
Dutch-based Centurion Venture Capital holds a 80% stake in the capital of MPC Properties, while the remainder is owned by Serbian entrepreneur Petar Matic, acording to data from the Serbian Business Registers Agency (SBRA).
