BELGRADE (Serbia), June 17 (SeeNews) – Serbian organic fruit producer Midi Organic has opened a unit for thermal treatment of fruits at its factory in Donje Grgure, southern Serbia, a representative of the company said.
Midi Organic currently has 83 employees and intends to open 30 jobs at the new unit, Zika Janicijevic, a representative of Midi Organic, said in a video file posted on the website of Serbian news agency Tanjug on Sunday.
"We will produce purees from all types of fruits. We are engaged in organic production and processing only," Janicijevic said.
The company has 480 suppliers and exports its products to all European countries and to the U.S. under an agreement with Dutch-based company Trading Organic, he added.
Midi Organic, established in 1991, organises the processing, sale and exports of plums, cherries, raspberries, blackberries, apples, strawberries produced in 12 villages in the municipalities of Blace and Kursumlija, in southern Serbia.
The company is fully-owned by Serbian citizen Nenad Janicijevic, according to data from the Serbian Trade Register.
