July 23 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue-chip industrial gases producer Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS], a subsidiary of Germany's Messer Group, said on Monday its board of directors approved the acquisition of Messer Slovenia.
The decision is in line with the business plan and policy of Messer Tehnogas and will contribute to the regional growth of the company, the company said in a filing with the Belgrade Stock Exchange.

Messer Group currently owns a 91% stake in the capital of Messer Slovenia, while 9% represent treasury stock, according to data from the corporate website of the Slovenian company.
Messer Tehnogas owned the entire capital of Kosovo-based Messer GTM, Bosnia's Messer BH Gas and Albania's Messer Albagas at the end of 2017, according to data from its annual financial statement.
Messer Group owned 81.94% shareholding interest in Messer Tehnogas at the end of last year, while the remainder was in the hands of retail shareholders.
