December 30 (SeeNews) - Serbian company Luss Textile plans to build a factory in the southern city of Krusevac, where it will employ 500 workers, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce said on Friday.
This will be the largest domestic investment in Serbia's textile industry, the Chamber of Commerce said in a statement without quoting figures.
Approached by SeeNews for information on the exact volume of the planned investment, a company official declined to comment.
Luss Textile opened its first factory in Raska, southwestern Serbia, in 2019. The factory currently has 350 employees.
According to the Serbian business registry, ownership in Luss Protect is equally split between Belgrade-based company Luss Investment and Serbian citizen Sava Mitrovic. Luss Investment, in turn, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of UK company Luss Investments LP.
