October 22 (SeeNews) - Serbian furniture retailer Lesnina XXXL plans to invest 20 million euro ($23 million) in the construction of a store in Novi Sad city, the government of the autonomous province of Vojvodina said.
The company plans to hire 150 employees at the retail complex, the mayor of Novi Sad, Milos Vucevic, said during the groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday, according to a press release of the Vojvodina government.
"By the middle of next year, when the construction works and the delivery of equipment are planned to be completed, we will have a new shopping center, new employees and a better economic image of Novi Sad," the head of the Vojvodina government, Igor Mirovic, said.
Lesnina XXXL has been a subsidiary of Austrian furniture retail chain XXX Lutz since 2010. The entire capital of Lesnina XXXL is owned by the Slovenian subsidiary of XXXL Lutz, LES-MMS trgovska druzba.
