June 6 (SeeNews) - Serbia's Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] expects to show a positive financial performance in the second quarter of 2017, as the results for April and May are promising, the bank CEO, Alexander Picker, has said.
The next steps of the management of Komercijalna banka will be to advance the digitalisation process, a very important project for the bank, Picker said in a video file posted on the website of Serbian news agency Tanjug on Monday.
Moreover, the bank aims to develop at a faster pace in the region, Picker added.
Picker said in May that Komercijalna has been improving its profitability in 2017 as a result of the restructuring of its non-performing loan (NPL) portfolio, a strategy that started to pay at the beginning of the year.
In the first quarter of 2017, the profit of Komercijalna banka rose to 2.483 billion dinars ($22.8 million/20 million euro) from 1.4 billion dinars in the first three months of the previous year, exceeding the target set in the business plan for the period by 1.524 billion dinars.
