October 31 (SeeNews) - Serbia's foreign trade deficit in the first nine months of 2017 widened 11.3% on the year to $3.213 billion (2.761 billion euro), data from the country's statistical office showed on Tuesday.
The country's exports rose 13% to $12.5 billion, while imports grew 12.6% to $15.8 billion, the data indicated.
The export-import ratio rose to 79.6% from 79.3% in the first nine months of 2016.
Serbia’s main export markets in the first nine months of 2017 were Italy and Germany, absorbing $1.69 billion and $1.59 billion worth of exports, respectively. Imports originating from Germany and Italy stood at $2 billion and $1.57 billion, respectively.
