January 22 (SeeNews) - Serbia's current account deficit rose to 1.695 billion euro ($2.075 billion) in the eleven months through November, from 873 million euro in the like period of last year, the central bank, NBS, said.
Trade in goods showed a deficit of 3.477 billion euro in the January-November period, while trade in services recorded a surplus of 879 million euro, the NBS said in a statement on Friday.
Primary income deficit amounted to 2.3 billion euro, whereas surplus in secondary income came in at 3.2 billion euro in the eleven months through November.
In November alone, Serbia's current account balance showed a deficit of 203 million euro, compared to a surplus of 10 million euro a year earlier.
In 2016, Serbia's current account deficit narrowed to 1.075 billion euro from 1.751 billion euro in 2015.
