April 20 (SeeNews) - Serbia's current account deficit edged down to 314 million euro ($386.3 million) in the first two months of 2018, from 315 million euro in the like period of last year, the central bank, NBS, said.
Trade in goods showed a deficit of 683 million euro in the January-February period, while trade in services recorded a surplus of 151 million euro, the NBS said on Thursday.
Primary income deficit amounted to 311 million euro, whereas surplus in secondary income came in at 529 million euro in the first two months of 2018.
In February alone, Serbia's current account balance showed a deficit of 249 million euro, compared to a deficit of 202 million euro a year earlier.
In 2017, Serbia's current account deficit widened to 2.09 billion euro from 1.075 billion euro in the previous year.
