March 5 (SeeNews) - Serbia's production of crude steel edged down 0.7% on the year to 176,000 tonnes in January, according to data of the World Steel Association.
Serbia was the largest producer of crude steel among the seven countries of Southeast Europe (SEE) included in the World Steel Association's monthly production report for January.
The combined production of the seven listed countries -- Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, North Macedonia, Serbia and Moldova -- rose by 3.5% on the year to 442,000 tonnes.
Bosnia came second after Serbia with production of 80,000 tonnes of crude steel, up from 73,000 tonnes in January 2018.
