May 12 (SeeNews) - Serbia's consumer prices increased by 9.6% year-on-year in April, after rising by 9.1% the month before, the statistical office said on Thursday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Serbia's consumer price index (CPI) added 1.5% in April, after rising by 0.8% a month earlier, the statistical office said in a statement.
By category, the biggest price increases in annual terms were observed in food and non-alcoholic beverages (15.8%), transport (13.4%) and in restaurant and hotel services (9.1%).
On a monthly comparison basis, prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 2.7%, prices of clothing and footwear added 2.1%, and prices of transport climbed by 1.8%.
