March 12 (SeeNews) - Serbia's average annual consumer price inflation slowed to 1.5% in February from 1.9% in January, the national statistical office said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Serbia's consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.3% in February, the same rate of increase as in January, the statistical office said in a monthly inflation report.
Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco rose 2.7% month-on-month in February, while prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages went up 0.7%.
In February, a 0.4% price increase on a monthly comparison basis was recorded in the sector of transport, while prices of furniture grew 0.3%.
Prices of clothing and footwear fell 1.7% month-on-month in February.
The country's annual consumer price inflation quickened to 3.0% in 2017 from 1.2% in 2016.
