BELGRADE (Serbia), August 1 (SeeNews) – Serbia's economy expanded by 1.8% year-on-year in the second quarter, slowing sharply from a 3.5% increase in the first quarter, the the country's statistics office said in a flash estimate on Monday.
The office said it will release more details on the country’s second-quarter gross domestic product (GDP) on August 31.
Serbia's economy expanded by 0.8% last year and growth is expected to accelerate to 2.5% this year, according to the latest International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecast.
