December 4 (SeeNews) - Serbia's economy ministry said local lubricants producer FAM has invested 1 million euro ($1.19 million) in the construction of a factory for flammable and fuel liquids in Krusevac.
The project in central Serbia, has allowed FAM to relocate the production of flammable liquids away from its old factory located in the central part of Krusevac, the economy ministry quoted the managing director of FAM, Jelica Djurovic Petronijevic as saying in a statement on Saturday.
"This factory will not bring intensive employment, but a much more efficient production, and what is important, better working conditions and environmental protection," Knezevic said during the official opening of the production unit.
FAM operates a production complex with a footprint of 30,000 square metres in Krusevac, including a reservoir storage facility with a capacity for 21,000 cubic metres of liquids.
