January 31 (SeeNews) - State-owned power utility Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) has said it invested 2.5 million euro ($3.1 million) in the overhaul of the power transmission network in Obrenovac, a suburban municipality of Belgrade.
EPS has upgraded five kilometres of low-voltage transmission lines and has modernised the equipment of the grid in Obrenovac, the managing director of EPS, Milorad Grcic said in a statement on Tuesday.
EPS has also reconstructed the electrical substation near the factory of Chinese car parts maker Mei Ta in Obrenovac, in order to enable the expansion of the production facility, Grcic said.
