March 14 (SeeNews) - Serbian civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] said on Wednesday it signed consultancy agreements with a total value of 6.7 million euro ($8.3 million) in Serbia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In the UAE, Energoprojekt signed a contract for the delivery of consultancy services for the construction of six power substations and adjacent transmission infrastructure with the Federal Electricity & Water Authority (FEWA) and Dubai-based holding company Meraas Development, the company said in a filing with the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
The company also signed a consultancy agreement with China-based Shanghai Electric Europa for the construction of a combined heat and power (CHP) unit in Pancevo, in northern Serbia, Energoprojekt said.
Serbian oil and gas group NIS [BEL:NIIS] said in November it signed a contract for the construction of a 200 MW CHP plant in Pancevo with Shanghai Electric Group, which will start the construction of the unit in the second quarter of 2018.
A total of 180 million euro will be invested in the construction of the power plant, as the bulk of the funding will be provided by Gazprom, the majority shareholder of NIS.
