October 3 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue-chip civil engineering company Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] has signed a 11.4 million euro ($12.5 million) street reconstruction contract in Uganda, Energoprojekt said.
The project involves the asphalt laying on gravel streets with a total length of 20 kilometres in Gomba, Mpigi and Butambala districts in southern Uganda, Energoprojekt said in a filing to the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
The Serbian company will participate in the project via its subsidiary Energoprojekt Niskogradnja [BEL:EPNS].
The contract was signed with the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) and works are expected to last for 20 months.
Energoprojekt currently works on the reconstruction of a 9 km-long section of the Kampala-Mukono road in Uganda under a 3.3 million euro contract signed with UNRA.
