September 28 (SeeNews) - Serbian diversified conglomerate Delta Holding said it has officially opened its InterContinental Hotel in Slovenia's capital Ljubljana, with a ceremonial handover of the keys.
Delta invested 50 million euro ($58.8 million) in the construction of the only five-star hotel in Ljubljana, with 165 rooms, a restaurant on the 20th floor and a spa center on the 18th floor overlooking the city, it said in a statement on Wednesday.
At the same time the InterContinental Hotel is the tallest building in the city.
The hotel is owned by Delta Holding, but will operate by the standards, rules and criteria of IHG Group.
It welcomed its first guests at the end of August and during the first few weeks it had an average occupancy of over 50%.
