Delta Holding said on Friday it placed a 17.5 million euro bid in the auction for the sale of Sava congress centre and committed to invest at least 50 million euro, although according to consultants' estimates the necessary investments in renovation would exceed 60 million euro.
Last month, the Belgrade city government launched a new auction for the sale of the Sava congress centre at a minimum price at 17.5 million euro after several previous attempts to sell the property failed due to the lack of investor interest.
The Sava congress centre has a total area of 100,000 sq m, including a 4,000-seat theatre hall, 15 conference halls, an exhibition area, restaurants, bars, offices and shops.
