November 1 (SeeNews) - Serbia's Delta Holding said on Tuesday it has became the owner of the four-star Holiday Inn Hotel and BelExpo centre in Belgrade.
"Although Hotel Holiday Inn has good results, our intention is to maximise its performance and offer guests improved services," Zivorad Vasic, Delta Holding vice president and general manager of the Crowne Plaza Belgrade, said, as quoted in a company statement.

"The BelExpo centre has a large untapped potential, which fits perfectly into the strategy of Delta Real Estate to develop conference tourism in Belgrade," he added.
Holiday Inn Belgrade offers 140 rooms and 7 conference halls, while the BelExpo center is a 2,500 sq m multifunctional space connected to the hotel.
By acquiring Holiday Inn and the BelExpo centre, Delta is continuing the expansion of its strategic businesses in Serbia. The company has also strengthened its relationship with InterContinental Hotels Group under whose brands it now runs three hotels - Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and the future InterContinental hotel in Ljubljana whose launch is planned in spring 2017.
Delta is also preparing to begin the construction of an InterContinental Belgrade hotel, as it has already determined the site.
InterContinental Hotels Group is the world's largest hotel group. It runs more than 5,000 hotels in 100 countries, through 12 hotel brands.
Delta Holding spans agriculture, real estate, insurance, distribution of fast-moving consumer goods and retail trade.
