BELGRADE (Serbia), July 17 (SeeNews) – Serbian diversified conglomerate Delta Holding said its earnings before interest, taxes, amortisation and depreciation (EBITDA) amounted to 2.6 billion dinars ($25.8 million/22 million euro) in the first half of 2018.
The revenue of the company stood at 30.1 billion dinars in the first half, Delta Holding said in a statement on Monday without providing comparative figures.
The greatest contribution to revenues, 47% of the total, came from the group's agriculture subsidiary Delta Agrar, followed by food and beauty products wholesaler Delta Distribucija with 32%.
Delta Agrar's crop production amounted to 4.5 tonnes per hectare of rape and to 8 tonnes per hectare of mercantile wheat. The company is investing 17.8 million euro in cattle breeding, sheep farming, reconstruction and modernisation of farms, the expansion of orchards in Zajecar and new machinery, while the value of exports in the first half amounted to 28 million euro.
Car sales of Delta Motors increased by 5.4% and sales of motorcycles rose by 27% in the period under review, the diversified conglomerate said.
In 2017, the EBITDA of Delta Holding rose 33.9% to 4.75 billion dinars.
