March 25 (SeeNews) - Serbia's Chamber of Commerce plans to open a representation office in Dubai to respond to the interest of UAE-based companies toward investment in the Serbian high-tech sector, the president of the organisation, Marko Cadez, has said.
There are opportunities for cooperation and the use of Serbian IT solutions in the areas of information security, embedded software and smart cities, Cadez said in a statement on Sunday.
Serbia's IT industry can offer e-health, digital agriculture, energy systems management and fintech solution to UAE-based companies.
"Dubai's Chamber of Commerce has given us rooms and complete infrastructure to open the office of our Chamber of Commerce and will cover the costs of its functioning. In the next two months, we will choose our representatives from the ranks of about 10,000 business people from Serbia who live and work in the UAE," he added.
Trade between Serbia and UAE totalled $184 million (162.6 million) in 2018, the Chamber of Commerce said.
