July 15 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Serbia in May rose by an annual 5.9% to 1,822, the country's statistical office said.
The estimated value of the planned projects covered by the issued permits rose by 150.4% on the year in May, due to the construction of the Preljina-Pozega motorway and the natural gas pipeline linking Bulgaria to Hungary through Serbia, according to data posted on the website of the statistical office.
A total of 1,604 construction permits were issued in May, up 17.7% on the year.
