February 6 (SeeNews) - Serbia's consolidated budget deficit fell to 235.2 billion dinars ($2.2 billion/2 billion euro) at the end of 2022, from 286.1 billion dinars a year earlier, the finance ministry said on Monday.
The consolidated budget deficit was equivalent to 3.3% of the estimated gross domestic product (GDP) for last year, compared with 4.6% at the end of 2021, the finance ministry said in a data release.
Total budget revenues went up by a real 14.7% year-on-year to 1.680 trillion dinars in 2022, while budget expenditures increased by 9.4% to 1.915 trillion dinars.
Tax revenues rose by a real 15.8% to 1.496 trillion dinars, non-tax revenues grew 9.1% to 170.8 billion dinars, while grants decreased by 22.5% to 13.1 billion dinars.
Current expenditures fell by a real 2.3% to 1.291 trillion dinars in 2022, while capital expenditures rose by 8.2% to 404.2 billion dinars.
