BELGRADE (Serbia), August 2 (SeeNews) – Banca Intesa Beograd, the Serbian unit of Italian lender Intesa Sanpaolo, has said it booked a profit of 4.7 billion dinars ($46.4 million/39.2 million euro) in the first half of 2017, up 7.4% on the year.
The bank's net interest income came in at 9.4 billion dinars, down 2.1%, while net fee and commission income rose 13.9% to 3.0 billion dinars, according to the H1 financial statement of the lender, posted on Tuesday.
Banca Intesa Beograd's net expenses for impairment of financial assets and credit risk off-balance sheet items amounted to 2.1 billion dinars in the first six months of 2017, versus an impairment cost of 2.3 billion dinars in the like period of last year.
Elsewhere in Southeastern Europe (SEE), Intesa Sanpaolo has presence in Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Romania and Albania.
