BELGRADE (Serbia), January 5 (SeeNews) – Banca Intesa Beograd, the Serbian unit of Italian lender Intesa Sanpaolo, said it booked a profit of 7.6 billion dinars ($77 million/64 million euro) in the first nine months of 2017, up 2.7% on the year.
The bank's net interest income came in at 14.2 billion dinars, down 0.4% year-on-year, while net fee and commission income rose 12.9% to 7.7 billion dinars, according to the nine-month financial statement of the lender posted on the website of Serbia's central bank, NBS.
Banca Intesa Beograd's net expenses for impairment of financial assets and credit risk off-balance sheet items amounted to 2.7 billion dinars in the first nine months of 2017, compared with impairment costs of 2.5 billion dinars in the like period of the previous year.
Elsewhere in Southeastern Europe (SEE), Intesa Sanpaolo is present in Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Romania and Albania.
