May 14 (SeeNews) - Serbia's average annual consumer price inflation accelerated to 3.1% in April, from 2.8% in March, official statistics show.
On a monthly comparison basis, Serbia's consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.7% in April, after rising by 0.4% in March, according to figures published on the website of the national statistical office.
Prices of clothing and footwear grew by 1.8% month-on-month in April, while food and non-alcoholic costs rose 1.3%.
Prices of restaurants and hotels declined by 0.1% in April.
Serbia's average annual consumer price inflation slowed to 2.0% last year from 3.0% in 2017.
