November 13 (SeeNews) - Serbia's average annual consumer price inflation quickened to 2.2% in October from 2.1% in September, the national statistical office said on Tuesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Serbia's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 0.3% in October, after increasing by the same rate in September, the statistical office said in a monthly inflation report.
Clothing and footwear costs rose 2.0% month-on-month in October, while prices of transport grew 0.9%. Recreation and culture prices went up by 0.4%, while food and non-alcoholic beverages prices increased 0.3%.
Prices in the sector of furniture and household maintenance fell by 0.2% in October, while alcoholic beverages and tobacco costs declined 0.1%.
The country's annual consumer price inflation quickened to 3.0% in 2017 from 1.2% in 2016.
