BELGRADE (Serbia), January 14 (SeeNews) – Serbia's consumer prices rose by 1.9% year-on-year in December, after growing by an annual 1.5% in November, official statistics show.
Consumer prices in Serbia increased by 1.7% on average in 2019 in relation to 2018.
On a monthly comparison basis, Serbia's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 0.5% in December, after rising by 0.2% in November, according to figures published on the website of the national statistical office.
Prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels grew by 1.5% month-on-month in December, while food and non-alcoholic beverages costs rose 1.0%.
Prices of restaurants and hotels fell by 0.8% last month, while communication prices declined by 0.3%.
