BELGRADE (Serbia), March 12 (SeeNews) –Serbia's consumer prices rose by 1.9% year-on-year in February, after growing by 2% in January, official statistics show.
On a monthly comparison basis, Serbia's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 0.6% in February, after rising by the same rate in January, according to figures published on the website of the national statistical office.
Prices of communication grew by 3.8% month-on-month in February, while tobacco and alcoholic beverages costs rose 2.5%.
Prices of clothing and footwear fell by 2.6% last month, while transport prices declined by 0.7%.
Serbia's average annual consumer price inflation slowed to 1.7% last year from 2.0% in 2018.
